Morning Light

A painting done on site as the sun rises and forms appear two-dimensional until fully lit. That brief instant as the dark of the night is washed away by the warm light of the emerging sun. A painting that was quickly executed to try to match the real time of that event. I was standing in a field in the dark waiting until I could see the canvas board and paints so I could begin to try to capture that time. This painting was done on Nuckols Crossing in S Austin.
