Honeycomb Hollow 1999
37" x 23", 1999, NFS
A friend took me out to a bluff to show me a vista so I brought along a canvas I have had since 1969, which has been painted over many times. I took oil sticks to basically make a sketch for a series of paintings. I had alot of paint leftover when I completed a large version of this scene, so I decided to complete this oil sketch with a 'discordant' approach with the paint left. I have painted this valley many times but now it is all developed with many houses constructed in a spot where there were none when this painting was made.
