While I was under contract to a gallery in Austin, a collector who had seen another of my larger paintings that had already been sold requested I paint another version in a smaller size and with a different color emphasis. In the end, the collector decided not to purchase the painting.
I was never really satisfied with the way the whole project came about because I paint for myself and hope others enjoy it, not the other way around.
